Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

GRIT
I've been thinking about this word a whole bunch lately.
Sometimes I feel like throwing in my towel.
Then I remember what I want to be made of.
The last two months I've been working on get my self back into shape.
I've definitely worked hard.
10 lbs gone and inches lost is proof.
BUT
Now its time for GRIT.
To sweat, hurt, and work more than I ever have.
Parenting has been a challenge for me lately too.
There is at least one moment in the day where I feel completely overwhelmed
and throw in the towel ready!!!!!
GRIT again.
I can't walk away.
I can't give up.
Four minds.
Four bodies.
Depend on me.
For love.
For time.
To teach.
To help.
To calm.
To be there.
The challenge lately has been contention.
round and round they go.
I get in the middle of it and it keeps going.
And endless cycle of frustration.
In the middle of it all,
its difficult to step out of the cycle and
calmly be the peacemaker.
I could possibly be the ring leader of it all,
"Are those your socks?"
"I JUST swept the floor!!!!!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYS!! Get off that Stupid game cube NOW!!

Yeah, I think I just might be.
When I was young I had this fancy idea that I'd grow up and my dreams would fall in my lap.
Today
I know.
Grit, Work
Hardly anything falls in my lap except crumbs.
My family, my faith,  my marriage, my friends, my health, is the heart of my life.
I didn't know it would take so much GRIT,
but its so worth it.
