My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Values found.

Have I ever mentioned that I love the scouting program?
Because I do.
I used to think I would hate it.
My brothers didn't really care about scouting.
Maybe that's why I didn't quite know what it was all about.

Ethan loves it too.
This makes me happy.
Old fashion values are hard to come by.
Scouting helps me instill those values.

His daddy is good to help him get organized and get his badges.
I'm happy for that too.
He's the cub master.
I think he's pretty cute.
He gets so nervous when he's up in front.
Especially when he leads a silly applause.

2 weeks ago they won the Pinewood Derby.
Pictures of that to come.
Introducing the watermelon applause.

  1. This is a great post. I'm going to show this to Brandon, he'll be stoked. He works hard in his calling with the Scouts...but it's one of those callings you do behind a computer. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but he has to be on the computer a lot and drop stuff off at the scout office. Those are cute pics of your guys! That looks like a fun night! :-)

I clicked on Jeff's blog and thought his subtitle "no frilly or girly stuff" was funny.
