My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Turning 9 Last Year
(When I had a camera)

My oldest turned 10 yesterday!!
He is proving that all my patience, long suffering, lots of love,
tears, frustration, and prayers were not in vain.
Mothering 4 small children can sometimes feel like a lost cause.
Mostly in small moments of frustration.
But this boy is giving me lots and lots of hope that someday
my worries will be the only thing that was vain.

The boy served me for a good solid hour Sunday afternoon.
I didn't ask for it.
He just walked into the kitchen and helped me.
He's really a sweet boy.
goofy, and silly, but very sweet and very smart.

And my youngest last year. Just being so cute.
I love these pictures.
The crown is worn by the birthday king or queen.
Abby borrowed it and made us all laugh.

I love my kids.

  1. I love that you said that mothering small children can sometimes feel like a lost cause. There are days where I just feel like I've been frustrated ALL day, and not a very loving mom on those days. And I think, at least for me, it is inherent in mothering to feel conscious that all of your faults are going to be passed on to your children. You just pray and hope that they will see your hard work and love -- even through the bad days. In any case, I really appreciated that line because I can relate to that at times. So glad you are getting small glimpses of payoff!
