My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

I'm itching to decorate!

I've only been in the house we are buying twice. Tomorrow we get to go over again. I'm counting down the minutes. I will be taking this: (my anniversary present! I've discovered I need to go back to school to learn how to use and play in photo shop. However, photography is on hold while I get in a decorating groove again.)and taking as many pictures as I can to get a better feel for where I want our things to go and what things I even want to bother moving in. The last few days I've been surfing the internet and pouring over pottery barn books, and other decor books to get a real feel for the styles, fabrics, and colors I love. When something pops out at me I save it. I'm not sure what you would call the style that I lean toward the most. I love feminine colors and fabrics but also really like masculine design-straight lines and very clean and crisp. I don't know all the deco lingo but I know that I get giddy when I see something that jumps out at me. Here's some samples of what I've found and love........................................................

My plan is to learn what I really love and start looking for bargains and things I can fix up. I'm thinking it will take me a few years just like it did in this old 40's house. I'm especially fond of all the storage baskets and office ideas that catch me eye.

  1. I've missed you! Thanks for sending me an invite. I absolutely love your taste, it is the same as mine I am thinking, but you seem to pull it off better. :) I am so happy to hear you found a house, don't you just love the possibilities of all those empty rooms? You will make it beautiful and cozy, I have no doubt!
