My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

We're smiling...

because through all this mom is enduring. She's been so funny!!!! She has us laughing on a regular basis. Last night I whispered in her ear and told her just how much she means to me. Words are never enough. Last night when I was drifting off to sleep I looked back on my life. All of the snapshots in my mind of times spent with her. She loved me and mothered me into the woman I am today. I think I'm strong enough to say goodbye, I KNOW I will see her again, but the span of our separation will leave a small hole in my heart. When they lower her into the ground, I don't know if I'll be able to bear it. I see and feel the beauty in death. Its part of all our lives but at this very moment I don't know if I'll ever be the same. I love you mom. I want to live to honor your life.

  2. What a precious picture! Your mom is a wonderful person. I have been thinking about her all week and was remembering when she came to visit us during Mother's week at Ricks & what fun we all had. You are in my prayers Kim, and I hope you know how much I love you!

I've been thinking about you and your family a lot lately and all that you're going through and you're truly amazing how you're handling it all. Please let me know if you need me to watch your kids so you can have some alone time with your mom. Serious! I can totally handle it!! Bring it on!
