Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

  1. So, so true. We have a family in our ward who has literally gone through hell this week with the loss of a precious baby. While my heart is broken for this wonderful family, it has truly made me count my blessings.

  2. I totally feel the same way! Thanks for the reminder. I keep telling myself...it could be worse (when times are rough) and then I thank Heavenly Father for all of my blessings including my trials. I always become closer to him in times of humility and learn at the same time.

  3. Amen to that one Kimi. Even though I am loaded with them personally, I guess I can at least know that I may still have a handle on them at some point anyways. Good thought.

  5. That was such a wise saying. I feel very blessed. My sweet baby granddaughter Elisabeth is our familys hardship right now. But in spite of all the dire predictions she just keeps growing and learning and delighting us all.

  6. Hey Kim, I think the quote is great and so true. I have been reading, and leaving little time for commenting, but thought I would say Hi. I listened to your music in the sidebar while crazily cleaning my kitchen tonight, so thanks for the motivation! Happy summer and I hope to read on your blog about your summer reads on your porch....ahhhh....that sounds so relaxing.

  7. Hey Kim-
Vernon & I were a Ma & Pa last summer and it was one of the harder things I've done in a while, but also one of the BEST things I've done in a while. The experience was amazing and we would do it all over again if we had the chance. Enjoy it!

  8. Have you been to Fred Meyer lately? The isle with the toasters is so cool. You run into the nicest people in Freddies. I do anyways. Yeah!!

  9. I have used this quote many times, I think it is so true. I would not trade the growth I get from my own trials, though I do not like them as I go through them.
