My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

When I grow up...

Guess what? I've realized that I like to cut hair. I also LOVE to do make-up. I've always wanted to be a counselor or therapist, and I think it would be awesome to be personal trainer. So this is my idea. Do all four! Wouldn't it be awesome if you could go to one place to get all those services? Cutting hair and therapist go hand in hand. I wouldn't have to go to school for the therapist part, just sharpen my listening skills. I never got a degree and I'm seriously thinking about doing some or all of these things.
I like to look at people and imagine different hair
styles on them. I've recently discovered the
power of the mighty bobby pin. I gave myself a whole new do for church the other day when I
tucked my hair up in back and gave myself a fake bob. I think I had 20 people comment on my new haircut. It was fun.

  1. YOU ARE FUNNY! I would pay big bucks to go to a salon that offered all of those services in one visit. One stop shopping? Yes please!

I like your "haircut". Now you know that if you were to do it for real, that everyone would love it too!

Thank you so so much for coming yesterday. I was worried when you said that you had not been feeling well. But I'm so glad that you did. It was wonderful to sit and actually speak with you face to face! Let's do it again SOON!

  3. I really thought that you had cut your hair! It looks great like that.

  4. I cut my hair myself but have to go in to a "professional" at least once a year to get it fixed, and everyone knows I seriously need therapy so I could be your first customer!

Moreover, I envy your hair so much. I dream, no seriously dream of having red hair. I even bought a box of red hair dye in November and was ready to take the plunge and guess what? Some "person" stole the color out of the box. I had a back up box of light brown just in case I chickened out and resorted to using it. My daughter in law gave me red highlights last year but I have yet to Lucille Ball like I want to be.

Thank you for the sweetest card. I am shocked that you recalled my first comment on your blog. (I am doing good if I can remember if I ate or not.)

I was soooo glad I finally got to me you in person at the luncheon. So when is the next one?

  6. HEY MAN! You scared me for a sec. I was going to be upset if you really cut your hair and a) didn't call and ask me for advice or b) didn't call to tell me about it!

  7. Can you please imagine my hair in a different hairstyle and then email me about it?! :) It is SOOO long and I really need to cut soon. I'll probably cut it shorter this spring.
