My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Some people drink coffee for an extra boost...

...I just wait for my little sister to call or stop by and it's exactly what I need to get a little more zip in my life. She's always calling or emailing me to say hi, and she always tells me she loves me. She also lets me ramble on about all my feelings and thoughts and understands me. Tuesday morning I was running around like a mad woman trying to get ready to show my house and the door bell rang. I wasn't expecting anyone yet. I opened the door and I saw this:
I knew it was from Melanie as soon as I saw it, I even saw her car down the street. But no Melanie. She had ran around to the back and was peeking through the French doors with this HUGE grin on her face. I let her down a bit. I was so stressed trying to tidy up everything and make it perfect that I read it very quickly and shoved it under my bed. She's was hoping that I would do a classic Kim and bawl. Sorry Melanie. You are the sweetest girl and I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have a sister like you. You brighten my day with your hilarious emails and phone calls. (She sent me an up close picture of herself- no makeup, and she's making the ugliest face. She looked like a totally different person. Here's another sampling of how she makes me chuckle: *you might have to adjust your volume while listening to this.

Oh, last night she went to my parents at midnight and heart attacked their house. She went all out. I can't wait to see the pictures.
I've been in a little funk and she bought me a notebook and told me we should do personal progress together. She's always helping me workout my emotional dilemmas and I could call her at 2:00 in the morning and she'd be over to sit on the couch with me, rub my temples and help me see that everything wasn't really that bad. Every girl needs a friend like that, I'm blessed that it's my sister too. I love you Melanie!!!!

  1. What a great sister! Everyone needs someone they can cry to at 2am. It's an absolute necessity.

  2. What a sweet sister! I'm totally laughing right now...listen to how funny this is. I made a candy poster for Chris today. I haven't made one of those since the 80's for my dad for Father's Day. Great minds think alike. I love that Melanie made a poster too! Good times!

  6. I love this. When I was younger I was sure my sister(s)was the bane of my existance. Now I would give anything to have any one of them in the neighborhood. You are very blessed.

  7. It's so nice to have a loving comfortable someone that just knows and loves you. I love having a sister like that too. You are awesome. How is the moving going? Selling your home is traumatic wouldn't you say?? I hope it's going well. Good luck with everything. Love, K
