Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Blog Luncheon with some wonderful women

I just wanted to take a second and say THANK YOU to three wonderful Hostesses. I had such a good time at the blog party and really appreciate all the time and hard work that went into it. These girls know how to throw a great party!! I especially loved my CD ! Oh, and what a clever quiz. So fun!

  1. Hi Terilyn. I saw you at the party and wanted to say hello. I'm Shiela's aunt. You came by once. You looked like you were having fun at the blog party. Take Care.

  4. Kimberly Sue...I echo our former roomie when I say that you are so cute and funny. I LOVE the bobby pin bob. You never cease to make me laugh. Also...I totally forgot about the luncheon. Did you have fun and meet lots of cool people? I was sick with a cold or I would have come, too, if I had remembered. But, alas, I did not. Also, beautiful place settings!

  5. p.s. in answer to your question, Super Tuesday is the Tuesday when the majority of primary presidential elections take place. It gives us a very good idea of who the nominations will go to. The good news: Hillary was defeated over and over by Obama. The bad news: it looks like McCain has taken the lead over Romney :( Just watch the news and you'll hear all about it.

  7. I'm sorry you aren't feeling great. My kids are sleeping right now and it ended up being a good thing that I didn't go to the luncheon. I thought my son might be faking sick to stay home, but he really ended up being sick. That is my luck so many times. I look forward to something and then something happens or comes up, and I have to give up what I want to do. My husband felt bad when he got home from work that he couldn't help out more with the kids. I am glad that you had fun. It looked amazing! Get feeling better. Oh, and thanks for your advice on a camera.

  8. It was great to meet you! I went home and said to my husband and later to my mother in law...guess who I met today???? They tell me you are a dancer. Oh how I wish I could dance....not an ounce af talent for it though...oh well.

  9. Lisa, I love to dance but since my public display at the ward talent show I've decided that dancing down in my basement by myself is the only place to do it. So, I wouldn't say I'm a dancer. BTW, I love watching you play the violin. You have a beautiful talent.
(If you would've watched me dance at the ward talent show, you would've been in pain.)

    Libbie and Nicole,
    You're sweet. Love you guys!

    Tami,
I remember your first comment because it was so full of wisdom and truth. Since that comment I have enjoyed reading your posts and admire so much.
( I was blogging about blog envy and comparing ourselves to other woman.)

Hi! Just popped over from the Passionista and love it when I see bloggers asking deep questions and putting themselves out there. Blogging really puts yourself "out there" (really out there) and anytime you put yourself "out there" you are vulnerable, and that is not necessarily a bad thing, but you have to be prepared to find things out about yourself that you maybe hadn't experienced because we rarely purposely put ourselves in situations that make us so vulnerable. I applaud you for being brave and bold and blogging! As to the comparing thing. A dear friend once told me this about comparing ourselves and it really stuck in my brain because I think it is true. If we compare ourselves to someone we consider ourself to be superior to then we are being prideful. If we compare ourselves to someone we consider ourself to be less than we are selling ourselves short. Either way we LOSE. We are who we are (a good thing) and other people are who they are (also a good thing). So I use that philosophy as my self checkup and it seems to help.

  10. Kim, I will pay you so much money if you PLEASE post the video of you danceing at your ward talent show . . . .. Every time I think about you telling us that story, I just NEED to see it for myself . . . think about it! Who doesn't love money!

  11. I'm sorry Libbie, I just can't. Its too humiliating. I won't even let Jeff watch it. Maybe I'll give you your own private showing someday. ( Like in 20 years when it doesn't hurt so much to watch it. I really thought I was good. )

  13. I really really really want to see "the dance". I'm not sure why but I'm already laughing just thinking about it and I don't even know if you did it when you were 6, 12, 17, 27, etc. I would be delighted to hear about it! :)
