Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Christmas Sum-Up- part 1: He did it!

Christmas is my favorite time of year. In fact, I really don't have any decorations but Christmas ones. I love the smells, the excitement, and the feelings in my heart each year it comes around. A few weeks before Christmas I asked my sweet husband when he planned on going Christmas shopping and he informed me that I had already got my 30 gig Zune and he thought that was my present. I got it the day after Thanksgiving. I stood in line at Toys R Us from 3:30 am to 5:00 am to get it but they only had a handful so I missed out there. But the salesclerk told us there were more on Amazon for $10 more and you didn't have to pay shipping. So I called Jeff up and told him to order one. We ended up getting two and yes I was excited to get my very first mp3 player but... I wanted to be surprised and well... swept of my feet. My mom and dad used to always get something that the other wasn't expecting at all. They would always cry and carry on and it was so cute. Mostly, I just wanted Jeff to consider and think about what would mean a lot to me and take the time to put something together. I told him that it didn't have to be elaborate or expensive, I even teared up and told him that it just needed to come from his heart. No pressure, .... right? So, the Friday before Christmas he went shopping with his brother and I didn't have a clue where he was going. I was actually a little afraid that he might get sidetracked because he was with his brother. Well, he made me cry like a big baby on Christmas morning. Here is what I found in the tree in an envelope addressed To: My Sweet Wife, Kimi
From: Jeffrey * He wrote this poem in about 1/2 hour after we got done playing Santa on Christmas Eve.

Here is a gift from me to you,

I thought it was, the least I could do.

Your gift is something that you must find,

It could be a name or song, it’s behind.

If you think it’s still just not fair,

Look above what’s hung with care.

There you are sure to see,

What it is, I give to thee.

Don’t you fret, that is not all,

Of course that would be much too small.

In envelope one I must confess,

Is what you’ll need when life’s a mess.

Take me out with what you find

It’ll be sure to clear your mind.

Envelope two is just for you,

But only when your feeling blue.

Just make sure, it’s at a time,

When all the kids will be just mine.

You’ll wonder what is in number three,

It’s just a small shopping spree.

And last of all is number four,

Use it when you can stand no more.

You will see it is real neat,

How it is, a treat for your feet.

It’s getting late, its not real sunny,

I am no longer feeling funny.

I hope this makes your heart content,

Other wise I will repent.

I am so glad you are my wife,

I will love you, all my life.

P.s. There is one thing I left amiss,

this is worth more than just a kiss.

I love you,

Jeffrey

The first thing I found was a ring on the fireplace above the stockings. It was a CTR ring. Then he handed me four envelopes and as I read I opened each one to find: 8 movie tickets, a Gift Certificate to the church bookstore, a 1 hour stone message from here and a spa pedicure. He made me very happy! Now that 's what I'm talking about baby!!!!!

There is still more but my pillow is calling my name!

  2. That really is wonderful! The poem was so Dr. Suess, I love it. The best gift of all was the the part at the end, "I'm so glad you are my wife, I will love you all my life." Treasure the man who's heart really is all yours, who cherishes you above life itself. I'm glad that he's the one with you, seeing you through everything right now. He will be a great blessing to you! Wow.

  4. So sweet. Isn't that what we all want? We don't care how expensive, just a little tender thought put into what to get the girl who does everything to keep the family going? Your hubby did a great job!

  9. Kim, what a wonderful husband you have. It's great when they come through with something special that they thought of entirely on their own!

P.S. Are you guys talking about shuffling the playlists? If so, then when you go to get the code, it has a spot where it asks you whether you want them shuffled, you just mark yes and then the code will shuffle it for you. Hope that helps.
