Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Sunshine on my Shoulders Makes me Happy and still makes me cry

I loved this song for as long as I can remember. As a child I used to cry when I heard it. Now it calms me and fills me up with hope and happiness. It still makes me cry too. I loved listening to it today with the windows open and sunshine filtering in with the with crisp autumn air. What song do you remember loving as a child and how does it affect you now?

  1. My favorite song growing up was Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love of All", and pretty much affected me exactly the way this song did for you! And affects me now in the same way too, isn't that funny?

  2. I too L-O-V-E LOVED Sunshine on my shoulders when I was little. My parents had the record and for whatever reason I would get emotional when listening to it. Thanks for reminding me of such a great song!

  3. When I was little my dad ALWAYS sang to me...the 'Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' by Gordon Lightfoot! I still love to hear this song. Also, many of the BeeGees sons remind me of being really little. I love childhood memories and nothing triggers a memory quite like a song or a smell!

  4. Anything by the Supremes reminds me of my childhood in Seattle listening on my little transistor radio.
