Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

"Mom, is doing all that as hard as taming a buffalo?"

We went over to the Trost's house tonight to help with a project and after we were done I stopped at Burger King because the kids were staaaaaaaarving. It was 2 hours after their bedtime and they had been really good. So, I went through the good ol' drive through and got 1 Oreo shake and a whopper jr for them to share and of coarse three crowns. My oldest then began to tell me that there are rules on the crown and it basically says that you are the king if you are wearing it. Everyone must do what YOU say. He then began naming off all these things that I had to do. Laundry, dishes, etc... he suddenly stopped and said, "Wait, you already do all that stuff!! My response was, "Uhhhhhhhhh, Yeah! Then is said something so random, "Mom, is doing that as hard as taming a buffalo?" I don't know I've never tamed a buffalo. Kids really do say some pretty funny things. My baby said the word stinky today, I love how she says it in her cute little voice.

  1. Sometimes being a good mom is harder than taming a buffalo. Today... give me the buffalo!

  2. That is so cute. My kids are almost grown out of the saying really funny things stages, but hopefully Lily has a few more up her sleeve. Hopefully.

  3. That is too funny! I am sure that raising four children is much more difficult than taming a buffalo...
    children = lifetime process
    vs.
    taming buffalo = x amount of days/hours.
    And that is my literal 2 cents!!!

    It was great to briefly chat with you yesterday.

    Loves,

  4. hmmmm...It just occurred to me that I think I am taming two little buffalo!...toddler twins or a buffalo, I honestly don't know which one would be harder! I LOVE it when kids say the cutest & most random things. Their little minds are so innocent and are soaking up absolutely everything they hear!
