Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

10 days of Vacation...a much needed break from life!

We took off on the 28th of June for our 10 day vacation. We stopped in Boise to visit my little sister Sherri to break our trip a little. Our final destination was Payson UT but on the way we stopped in Boise and Rexburg. When we got to Boise my other sister Melanie was actually right behind us. She and Sherri left the following day for Ogden Utah on a special mission. (I'll go into that later.) It was so fun to be with both of my sisters on my birthday. I love them both so much and I'm so thankful that we're close. We are different but so alike at the same time. I would choose either one of them to raise my kids in my place if something happened to Jeff and I. I told Sherri that I wish I could stay for a week, but our kids are too young to make that plausible. One night was perfect, because it didn't take long for things to get a little interesting with her three and my four. Someday Sherri!!!!! After Boise we set off for Rexburg to spend some time with Jeff's sister Becky and her family and a our close friends, the Petersons. It was so fun to go back to Rexburg after all these years. I have lots of wonderful memories and

life changing experiences that will always link me there. Becky's four girls were so
good with my kids and made our vacation there very enjoyable. We went to the zoo in Idaho Falls and the kids loved it. I think it was the first time that we actually went to a zoo where the animals weren't hiding in the shade, sleeping. The tigers gave us the best show. Payson UT was our next destination and we took off for another exciting drive with four little ones. We stayed in Payson for a week with Jeff's brother Darren and his family. We had a blast going to the pool and celebrating the 4th with their wonderful neighbors. My kids had never witnessed fireworks up close and experienced sparklers for the first time. At first they wanted to go home and see the big fireworks, but before the night was done they had changed their minds. The highlight of my trip was to see some old roommates from my Ricks College days. Stacey came down from Salt Lake and I went to Cedar Hills to visit with Dawn and Melody. Its been a long time since I've seen them all but it felt like it was just yesterday. All three of them made such a huge impact on my life. I'm sad that I only got a few months with them but feel very blessed to know them and still have them as friends. I also got to go to IKEA and did some other shopping which is always a plus and I finally got experience Cafe Rio.... I'm still craving their salad after 3 weeks. I looooooooooove their food!!! I think most of Provo does too because whenever I went it was packed and the line was insane.

  1. How fun . . . I was wondering where you were. I am so glad you got to see the old roomies. How the heck is Stacey and what is she up to? I don't hear from her often. Happy 30th birthday by the way . . . you old lady! Like I should talk, mine is coming right up! I am glad you had a good time.
