My photo
Every morning I wake up with a head full of things to do. I scramble around trying to put them in lists of importance all while trying to keep the peace within my little brood (trying to recall everything I've learned and read about parenting at the same time.) I love being a wife and the quirks that come with having my man forever. I love to be creative and thrive on crossing off my to do list. I strive to find balance and put first things first which brings me PEACE & JOY and allows me to sleep so much easier when I do. I think that one of the secrets to being HAPPY in life is to find that balance. I'm learning how to be kinder to myself and learning patience in progress. Everyday, through the thick and thin of life I'm trying to turn my heart towards heaven and remember what's really important.Oh, and I love to eat, so much so that I love to exercise too.

Learning Photography on Date Night

Its been very exciting to wait for all the posts my friend Lee has on her 2007 Photography Challenge blog. I've been wanting to learn more of the technical stuff for a long time and she has really inspired me to try it out. I say more technical stuff, but I should say all of it. I think I have a good eye but words like aperture, f-stop, exposure, and focus intimidate me. So, my DH who has always wanted to go out with me and teach me, planned a photography date. We got bundled up and set out with cameras in tow. I had a great time with him doing something he loves and has wanted me to know since we got married. When we got married his parents gave us a camera and I remember him trying to teach me on our honeymoon. I still have more to learn but I think it starts with a desire. We're definitely going to be looking for a digital SLR so I don't feel so bad about wasting almost a whole roll of film again and then having to put it on to a CD. These are the two pictures that we liked the best. He gets the credit for these two, but hopefully I'll post some good ones later. He calls the picture on the bench, "Kissed by and Angel".
